About Chrissy's Plants

When we moved to Richland Springs, Texas, in November 2021, we weren't chasing a business plan as much as a different way of life. In 2022, we purchased the property that became Chrissy's Plants, and what began as a hobby garden in 2023 slowly grew into something much bigger. By 2026, I took the leap into running the business full time. Chrissy's Plants remains the heart of everything we do. The wild fruits that grow naturally on our property is what led to Lone Star Jelly, where our goal is to create handcrafted jellies that celebrate the flavors of Central Texas. My passion is making specialty jellies from fruits, berries, and peppers.

As our customers got to know us, they kept asking for fresh vegetables, so our roadside stand was born. Farming has taught us patience because every season depends on rain, sunshine, and a little Texas grit. One day we hope to add a larger greenhouse or high tunnel to stretch our growing seasons and offer fresh produce for more of the year. Alongside the garden, we discovered the fun of freeze drying. What started as curiosity quickly became one of our favorite product lines. Bobby has developed a real talent for freeze drying, while I enjoy dreaming up new flavors and combinations to try. For now, every jelly, freeze dried snack, and garden product is made under the Texas Cottage Food Law, allowing us to grow carefully while never losing the homemade quality our customers have come to expect.

The best part of this journey has never been the products. It's the people. I love meeting someone for the first time, sharing a smile, offering a sample, and watching them leave with something delicious and a story to tell. Whether it's a jar of jelly, a bag of freeze dried treats, a basket of vegetables, or a plant for their own garden, I want every visit to feel personal. Our dream is to bring the business home to our family farm, where the land adds another chapter to our story and gives us the stability to keep growing for years to come. From that farm, we hope to share a little piece of Central Texas across the state through markets, festivals, and online orders, always keeping Chrissy's Plants as the roots, Lone Star Jelly as the flavor, and our freeze dried and garden products as the ever-changing harvest that keeps customers coming back for something new. I say all of this and "". Thanks for taking time to read about us.
